jonny noordhoek

jonny noordhoek (Jonathan Morse),
an amateur singer / song writer / guitarist grew up with groups like Led Zepplin, Jethro Tull and CSNY his staple diet. A devoted family man, nature lover and long time surfer of more than 40 years, jonny has lived in Noordhoek for the past 30 years with magnificent Chapman’s Peak, Noordhoek beach and everyday sunsets his inspirational backdrop. The tunes and lyrics on A New Earth were composed during a personal growth experience inspired by the teachings of Eckhart Tolle and Neale Donald Walsch, and this project results from jonny’s desire to share these feelings and the benefits he experienced, with others. He does this with the realisation that self-development and spiritual books are not generally an easy read, and Music Is the Food of the Soul.

Robin Auld,
singer/songwriter, poet and author.
Born in Zambia, the main influences on Robin's early years in Cape Town were the beach and surfing. His formative musical career, based on his abilities mainly as a guitarist, saw Robin learning to play the guitar listening to the likes of Hendrix and Neil Young.
Later influences from Southern African guitarists Louis Mhlanga and Philip Tabane resulted in the contemporary mix of roots and pop that characterizes Robin’s sound today.
A stint living in the UK brought Celtic guitar influences to his song writing. Robin’s first solo album "At the Corner", which became a local cult favourite, was followed by several successful albums.
Robin’s label, Free Lunch which he started in 1999 now has 5 releases. Robin works alternately between South Africa, the UK and the USA.
As an author, Robin published the South African beat novel "Tight Lines" and has recently published "Kelp", a collection of poems and short stories. Visit Robin’s website where a preview MP3's of his various albums can be downloaded.

Trish Bailey The omnipresent Nanooks

Trish Bailey,

studied music from an early age, playing piano, violin and guitar.

Living in Durban for most of her profesional musical life, she has played electric bass guitar with a variety of dance, cabaret and jazz bands in South Africa, covering all styles of popular music.
She has also performed with bands and orchestras in numerous musical theatrical productions over the years.

Armed with this musical background and possessing a morbid facination for electronic musical 'gadgets' and anything digital, she established her own production recording studio in 1988 acting as studio musician, programmer, sound engineer and producer for numerous production projects.
In 2005 Trish relocated to Noordhoek in the beautiful South Peninsula and has re-established the Studio on a smaller scale to record of voice-overs & audio books.
Presently living at and working from Luthier Jimi Glenister's premises in Kommetjie, her Studio is now known as Earthrise Audio Productions.

She performs regularly as bassist with several Cape Town bands, specializing in popular jazz, blues & dance standards.

Trish would like to express deep-felt gratitude to Jon Morse, Robin Auld and the other exceptionally gifted musicians on the New Earth project for having been offered the opportunity to be so intensively involved with this special creative expression of 'being in the moment'. Special appreciation is given for the unspoken love & support of her animal guide, the Siamese 'She who is Nanooks' who was present and involved with all the recording and mixing sessions.
